Marcan of FailOverFlow blog has a pretty comprehensive review of the DCPU-16, or atleast as comprehensive as one can be with the current information available. He discuss it's advantages and more interestingly disadvantages even going as far as to provide an alternative proposal for the DCPU-16 which attempts to address some of these issues.

I must admit I find a lot of the DCPU-16 stuff overwhelming. I hope I can get my head around it before launch so that I can have fun writing a few basic programs.
Tbh part of the fun is going to be learning about this stuff, I already have some ideas which I will talk about soon :D
Nice review, now I just need to learn how to code!
